Villa weddings are the quiet favourite among couples who want the day to feel like theirs rather than an event slotted into a resort's calendar. You hire an entire private estate, usually for two or three nights, and the wedding happens inside it.
What exclusive hire actually gives you
Total privacy. No other guests, no other events, no strangers in the background of your photographs.
A multi-day wedding. Most couples use the villa for a welcome dinner the night before and a recovery brunch the morning after. The wedding stops being a single afternoon and becomes a weekend.
Accommodation built in. Your immediate family and bridal party sleep on site. That removes a whole category of logistics — transport, getting-ready locations, the morning-of scramble.
Vendor freedom. This is the big structural difference from a resort. Villas typically let you bring your own caterer, florist, planner and photographer, rather than choosing from a preferred-supplier list. If you have strong opinions about food or styling, that matters.
The trade-offs
